SingTel (ASX:SGT) boosts finance unit's share capital

Telecom operator SingTel (ASX:SGT) has revealed that it has increased the share capital of its subsidiary, SingTel Treasury, to S$50 million ($41.7 million).

The unit, which primarily serves to provide finance and treasury services to the SingTel group of companies, previously had a share capital of just S$2.

The new shares have been fully paid up, SingTel said.

SingTel is the parent company of Australian operator Optus.
